Paul Berney
Co-founder & Managing Partner

Paul is the Co-Founder of mCordis with more than 13 years of experience in mobile marketing.

Previously, Paul served as Chief Marketing Officer & Managing Director of the EMEA branch of the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA). He has over 27 years’ experience in a wide variety of sales, marketing, business development and commercial roles spanning several different industries and market sectors including automotive, printing, internet development and management.

He is a Business Leader in The Marketing Society, a Fellow of the Institute of Direct & Digital Marketing (IDM) writing regularly for their blog, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a mentor in the Marketing Academy. 

Paul has been a speaker at over 290 events, in 40 countries to a combined audience of over 43,000 people. In 2012 he was recognised as the leading speaker on mobile marketing worldwide by C-Squared.

He sits on the editorial Board of the IDM Journal and was voted one of the Top 50 influencers in mobile marketing in the UK by The Drum magazine for the last three years (2013-15).

Michael J. Becker
Co-founder & Managing Partner

Michael Becker is passionate international marketing entrepreneur and evangelist.  As a Co-founder and Managing Partner of mCordis, Michael advises marketers, agencies, and technology vendors on marketing, positioning and strategy as it relates to their overall mobile and digital marketing efforts.  He advises a number of organizations, including Assurant Solutions, Shopper Army, Marketing EDGE, FunMobility, and Privowny. He is a professor of mobile marketing at National University.

Prior to mCordis, Michael worked with the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) including ten years as a North American board member. Prior to the MMA, he co-founded iLoop Mobile, which was later branded Archer and now part of Waterfall, an award winning global mobile messaging solution provider. He worked on the Iridium Satellite program for Hewlett-Packard, worked with one of the first eBook solutions, Nuvomedia, and developed the world’s first cross-platform rich-media instant-messaging solution with Ecrio.

Michael was awarded the 2014 Marketing EDGE Edward Mayer Education Leadership Award for his commitment to marketing education. He is an internationally recognized speaker, author and scholar on mobile marketing and personal data. He has given hundreds private and public talks and webinars on mobile marketing and privacy. He is the author, co-author and contributing author of a number of books and over 100 articles, including Lynda.com’s Mobile Marketing Fundaments online course, Mobile Internet for Dummies, Web Marketing All-in-One For Dummies, and Mobile Marketing for Dummies. He founded and oversaw the publication of the award winning MMA International Journal of Mobile Marketing.
